Richmond Senior’s Raider Battalion has eventful week

ROCKINGHAM — The Raider Battalion has a heavy week of three major events: the learning service event, the annual Christmas parade; and the regimental dining-in.

The Richmond Senior HS Battalion staff are planning these three events.

The first event that the Raider Battalion will be doing is the service learning event, where they will be spending time with the county’s senior citizens and Office for Aging Services at the Cole Auditorium to get them into the Christmas spirit.

The second event is the annual Hamlet Christmas parade. The mission for this event is to bring the Christmas spirit to the community and motivate young people to be better citizens while leading the way in the parade.

The third event is The Regimental Dining-In, in which the Raider Battalion will be hosting three other schools in the region. This event will be held at the Cole Auditorium. The Richmond Raiders JROTC have invited Anson, Hoke and Scotland county’s JROTC programs to join them. The purpose of this event is to share traditions while motivating young people to be better citizens.
