ROCKINGHAM — Richmond County native and fantasy author T. Russell Parker has announced the book signing date for ”A World Without War: Unwanted,” which will be Saturday, Feb. 29.
Slated for the same day as the book’s official release date, Parker will be set up in the front lobby of IncSpace between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m. IncSpace is located at 115 S. Lawrence Street, Rockingham.
“As The Richmond Observer operates in the upstairs section of the building, I’ve been able to watch the progress made to the downstairs section over the last year,” said Parker. “It’s a wonderful place to set up with new businesses moving in and I appreciate Kenny, Leah, and Charlie Melvin allowing me to have this book signing here and to cross-promote both my book and their incubator.”
“I’m excited that a member of The Richmond Observer team is going to be launching their debut novel in IncSpace,” said Charlie Melvin. “We’re very proud of Russell for this accomplishment. It’s a really big deal to write a book and it’s an even bigger deal to begin a series.”
One of those businesses inside the incubator is Sunset Slush, which will be open during the book signing, serving classic Italian ice beverages.
“I wanted to do the signing in a place where local businesses would be at because I love the area I grew up and I want to help promote the growth this county has seen in recent years,” said Parker. “Between spots such as Sunset Slush, Pattan’s, Discovery Place KIDS, Richmond Community Theatre having their show that night, and the other surrounding shops and restaurants, I feel being in the heart of downtown Rockingham is the perfect place to be.”
Parker will have copies of the book on hand for sale and will personally sign all copies for no additional charge. The first 25 to arrive will also receive a free bookmark with their copy. There will also be photo opportunities with Parker.
Parker also requests that those who wish to purchase a copy should bring cash.
