Aug. 5: Facing the Anxiety of Back-to-School webinar will be held virtually from 10:30 a.m.-noon on Thursday, Aug. 5. Laurie Conaty, MSW, LCSW, LCAS will present. Discussion will be regarding anxiety parents and children face surrounding back to school including the complications and impact of COVID-19. Practical tips for handling anxiety related to this time of transition as a parent/caregiver while also helping children/youth face their fears will be shared. Aug. 11: Building a Toolbox for Back-to-School Anxiety webinar will be held from 1-2 p.m. via WebEx. Tammy Hernandez, MA QP and Martanika Smith, MA Ed., LCMHCA, NCC with Pinnacle Family Services will be the presenters. Aug. 17: Understanding Programs & Services at the STEP Center, a juvenile day reporting center in Randolph County, is the training for the month. Pam Resch, the director, will share information about what the center does and ways you can help youth in your community.
