Smoothing the Transition to School – COVID Edition webinar will be held from 10:30 a.m.-noon. on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020. Representatives from The Autism Society will lead discussion on WebEx. The focus will be on strategies to support children in virtual or in person learning environments. Participants will learn about supports to make virtual learning more successful as well as tips for supporting students who transition to in person learning environments as well. Mindful Mama & Present Papa: Mindfulness as a Parenting Skill webinar will be held from 1-2 p.m. Dec. 9 via Zoom. Portia Purcell, MA, NCC, LCMHC, LCAS will be the presenter. “It Takes a Community” webinar will be held as a virtual meeting from 10:30-noon. Dec. 9. It provides information on what local agencies are doing to help families during the pandemic and the services and resources they offer to assist families during the holidays. Agencies will also give a general overview of their services and programs.
