Sandhills SAR Chapter compatriots attend Rockingham DAR meeting

Five Sandhills Chapter compatriots traveled to Rockingham to attend the September meeting of the General Henry William Harrington Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter.

NCSDAR Regent Anna Baird Choi attended this meeting and presented an interesting program about “Crime and Punishment in Colonial America.” Choi is the North Carolina State DAR regent, a practicing attorney, and partner in the firm of Hendrick Gardner Kinchloe & Garafalo LLP in Raleigh.

Sandhills Chapter President Bruce Fensley thanked the Daughters of the General Henry William Harrington Chapter for their invitation to this meeting and offered greetings from the SAR, NCSSAR Society, and the Sandhills Chapter.

President Fensley presented the SAR DAR Medal and Certificate of Appreciation to Regent Amy H. Guinn for her long term leadership support and collaboration with the Sandhills SAR Chapter during historic and patriotic events since 2020.

He also shared that the North Carolina SAR Society has been selected to host the SAR National Congress in July of 2026 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Greensboro and presented a NCSSAR 2026 SAR Congress Commemorative Medal Set to NCSDAR Regent Anna Baird Choi. This SAR Congress will be held on the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Many very complimentary comments were expressed about this beautiful and meaningful commemorative medal.
