ELLERBE — The Berry Patch was groovin’ Thursday evening.

Silk Groove, based in Winston-Salem, made the trip down to perform at “The World’s Largest Strawberry” for the produce stand and ice cream shop’s second concert of the season.

The rhythm and blues revue played a mix of classic hits from the likes of Wilson Pickett, the Temptations and Sam Cooke while some audience members danced in the sand.

In addition to the Berry Patch’s ice cream, Wildfire Pizza was on site.

The 2023 concert series kicked off on a warm night in late February with the Sand Band. That event doubled as a fundraiser.
