HAMLET – ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH,  HW 177/ 311 Marlboro St., Hamlet, will observe the most solemn week in the life of the church in special services beginning on Palm Sunday, March 25th.

An 11:00 a.m. service begins outdoors at a large cross in the church yard.

Listening to the story of Palm Sunday, we process into the church where the mood turns solemn as the reality of the crucifixion becomes clear.

A Service of Holy Communion unites with our Lord and all who remember his passion.

On Maundy Thursday, March 29th, a 1:00 p.m. service begins in confession and individual absolution as we commemorate Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples and his washing of their feet.

This service concludes with the removal of all decoration from the church in preparation for Good Friday.

Good Friday’s 1:00 p.m. service includes the reading of the Passion of John and meditation on the meaning of the cross.

The times for Thursday and Friday were chosen to accommodate people who do not drive in the evening.
