Watson-King sponsoring benefit car show for Richmond County Hospice

ROCKINGHAM — A local funeral home is sponsoring an upcoming car show to benefit Richmond County Hospice.

Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham is the title sponsor for the “Cool Cars for a Cause” show coming up March 30, held on the grounds of Richmond County Hospice, 1119 U.S. 1 N, north of the city limits.

“We appreciate their continued support of our agency and everything else that they do to support our community,” said Hospice Public Relations Director Julie Woodie.

The event is open to any make or model of vehicle including motorcycles. The cost is $20 for the first vehicle and $10 for each additional vehicle an individual brings. Registration begins at 8 a.m. the morning of the event. 

The car show will be open to the public from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with the trophies being given out at 1:30pm.

Best Mini Truck 

Best Interior 

“We are planning to have a vendor area for people to sell items such as handmade crafts, Paparazzi jewelry, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, etc.,” said Woodie. “We will also have a Kids Zone and food truck area for attendees. We want this to be a fun family day.”
