There are many times that we may be complimented on how well or how great the clothes we have on look, and our typical reply may be “oh how I wish I felt as good.” All too often has this been the case. What we wear says a lot about who we are. However, how we feel about ourselves says even more.
It’s not always about the the brands or latest trends that give us the pass of feeling good about ourselves. Having confidence comes from within, knowing your role and purpose, and feeling comfortable about being in that moment. Confidence reflects your attitude, daily activities and personal style. That is what is most admired by others.
Although that is easier said than done, sometimes it takes hitting that metaphorical reset button, clearing your mind, and refreshing your body as well as your closet. New clothes, new attitude — it just works!
I have come a long way in terms of my style and confidence. My most confident moments were not just when my look was pleasantly pulled together, but when I actually felt good about knowing who I was as a person. That prepared me for my purpose and I embraced just that. From there on, my attitude as well as personal style always reflected my inner confidence!
No matter how you may feel about your body shape, the size of your waistline, the color of your hair, remember those are the unique things that often sweeten the deal, and helps shape you into who you are to be.
It may not always be as easy, but in the meantime, learn to let your confidence speak louder than selfdoubt. Take the time for self evaluation. Be comfortable knowing who you are, adjust your mindset, fall in love with your imperfections, and simplify your personal style.
Discovering what works best for not just your wardrobe and personal style, but your attitude, emotion and well being is key. When we feel good, we look good!
