HAMLET — Two local railroad crossings will be temporarily closing for repairs in the coming weeks.
The Traffic Control Division of Southern Commercial Development announced Tuesday that the closings will “necessitate rerouting traffic” and signs will be in place to mark detour routes.

The closings by CSX Railroad will be:
- Jan. 27 – North Bridges Street, between West Hamlet Avenue and Main Street
- Feb. 4 – Main Street, between Bridges and Vance streets
All crossings are closed for two-five days for repairs, according to a press release. However, that can change, with or without notice, due to unforeseen circumstances, including inclement weather.
