ROCKINGHAM — Sheriff James Clemmons on Tuesday presented certificates from the N.C. Sheriff’s Training and Standards Commission to three deputies.
Detectives Marcus Brown and Brian Ingram both earned their Intermediate Certificates and Lt. Chris Bynum was awarded his Advanced Certificate.
The Advanced Certificate is the highest certificate presented to law enforcement officers in N.C.

Certificates are awarded based on an officer’s years of experience plus the amount of professional training and education the officer receives.
