ROCKINGHAM – Emergency crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles Sunday afternoon at 4:31 pm at the west entrance/exit road from Tri-City Shopping Center and Highway 74.
The vehicles involved were a Kia crossover SUV and an older model sedan. A spokesman at the scene said the two vehicles collided on 74 in the turning lane going into the shopping center.
Both occupants in the crossover where transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one in the other sedan was transported.
Police Officers and wrecker crews had the scene clear at 5:01 pm. Units responding included Rockingham Fire Department, FirstHealth Richmond EMS and Rockingham Police Department.
RPD is still investigating the accident at the time of this publication.
