ROCKINGHAM – At 4:45 p.m. Monday afternoon, Emergency Crews were dispatched to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Mizpah Road and Sand Hill Road.
When crews arrived on the scene, they found that a gray SUV had entered on Mizpah Road and was struck in the rear by a gray sedan.
A spokesman on the scene reported that, “both occupants in the sedan were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries by FirstHealth Richmond EMS. No one in the sedan was transported to the hospital.”
Units responding to the accident were Cordova Fire Rescue, East Rockingham Fire Department, Rockingham Rescue Squad, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina Highway Patrol. The accident is still being investigated by the Highway Patrol.
