Accident Report: Two-Car Collision Sends Three People to Hospital

ROCKINGHAM – On Wednesday afternoon at 2:58 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Walnut Lane and East Broad Street in Rockingham near the Family Dollar.

On arrival, rescue units discovered that there were three occupants with injuries serious enough to be transported to a local hospital.

Authorities on the scene reported that two patients were being transported by FirstHealth EMS, and the third transported by Cordova Fire Rescue.

Units responding to the accident were Rockingham Fire Department, Rockingham Police Department, Richmond County Sheriff’s Department, FirstHealth Richmond EMS and Cordova Fire Rescue.

The Rockingham Police Department is continuing the investigation into the cause of the accident at this time.
