CORDOVA – First responders were called out at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday to a one-vehicle rollover accident. The incident occurred between Osborne and Sandhills Roads on U.S. Highway 1 South.
The only occupant in the vehicle was the driver, who was checked out by EMS, and not transported to the hospital.
Authorizes advised that the driver ran off the road and over corrected, thus flipping the vehicle and landing in the South bound ditch on its wheels.

Cordova Fire Rescue, FirstHealth Richmond EMS, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and North Carolina Highway Patrol were all on site.
The accident is being investigated by the N.C. Highway Patrol.
