ROCKINGHAM—Biscuitville Fresh Southern, a local family-owned restaurant known for its authentic, Southern-style breakfasts, will open a new restaurant at 1214 E. Broad Ave. in Rockingham on Tuesday, May 11 at 5 a.m. Biscuitville will close its restaurant at 302 East Broad Avenue in Rockingham on Sunday, May 9 at 2 p.m. to prepare for the opening of the new location.
The new Rockingham restaurant grand opening will benefit The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, a nonprofit organization that has provided food for citizens facing hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina for 40 years. The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina is an affiliate member of Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. They work to provide access to nutritious food that nourishes families, children, seniors, and individuals.
This restaurant location will be one of the locations that will have a re-opened dining room with limited seating. Additionally, from 8 a.m. until noon on May 11, there will be a socially distanced distribution of prizes given out (while supplies last). Guests also will be able to sign up for a chance to win Free Breakfast for a Year* with the use of a special QR code, allowing for contactless registration. Biscuitville will award Free Breakfast for a Year by randomly selecting 10 of the entries received on opening day. No purchase necessary to enter. The Broad Avenue restaurant operator is Travis Farmer, who has been a member of the Biscuitville family since 2017. Born and raised in Southern Pines, he graduated in 2005 from Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Farmer has worked in the restaurant industry since 2000 in a wide range of positions at other quick-service restaurants prior to joining Biscuitville.
“Travis is someone who has dedicated much of his professional career to the restaurant industry. He has a passion for restaurants and his team members, and he works very hard to make sure our guests have the best experience possible,” Niven said. “Both Travis and his team look forward to seeing the familiar faces from the former Broad Avenue site, as well as seeing new ones.”
Biscuitville, which has 64 restaurants in North Carolina and Virginia, has remodeled dozens of its existing locations during the last six years as part of a growth phase and has also introduced several new, innovative menu items, such as the Spicy Chicken and Honey Biscuit.
