Chamber of Commerce Announces Upcoming Events

RICHMOND COUNTY – The Chamber of Commerce announces the following events during the next few days:

1.  FirstHealth & Type II Diabetes  Thursday, May 3rd, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Join FirstHealth for a community conversation about preventing Type 2 diabetes. 

Event will include FREE glucose tests, food and door prizes!

2.  Richmond Young Professionals at Plaza Jam  Thursday, May 3rd, 6:30 p.m. 

The Richmond Young Professionals will be relaxing on the lawn of the Cole Plaza next to Rockingham City Hall for the 1st PLAZA JAM of the year. 

Bring a chair and come hang out! 

3.  Early Cinco de Mayo at Hamlet’s La Cabana  Friday, May 4th, 11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

It is no secret…We love to eat! 

Join us this Friday, May 4th, for an early Cinco De Mayo celebration at La Cabana’s new Hamlet location! 

The Chamber will be there from 11:45 am – 1 pm for a casual dutch treat lunch!

 4.  Jerry’s Diner in Hamlet Joins the Chamber  Monday, May 7th, 11:00 a.m.

Join the Chamber on Monday, May 7th at 11 AM to welcome Jerry’s Diner to Hamlet!

The diner is located at 38 West Main Street in downtown Hamlet! 

5.  Richmond County Special Olympics  Tuesday, May 8th, 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon 

Tuesday, May 8th we are encouraging our member businesses to join us to cheer on student athletes during the Richmond County Special Olympics! 

9 am – noon 

Richmond Senior High School 

Football Field 

6.  Connections After Five in May  Thursday, May 10th at 5:00 p.m.

Last year this Connections was attended by over 100 members and was a great way to promote the businesses in downtown Rockingham!
