City of Rockingham’s Inaugural “Spooktacular” Trick-Or-Treat Night to Offer Safe, Authentic Experience

ROCKINGHAM – While the weather hasn’t quite cooled down, fall is definitely here. With fall comes a lineup of some of the most beloved holidays. First up: Halloween.

Over the last few years, many local residents have been setting up and attending Trunk or Treat functions around town to avoid the chaos of door-to-door candy hunting. But at the same time, there’s a consensus that kids are missing out on the true spirit of trick-or-treating.

Fortunately, this year, the City of Rockingham will be throwing its first Spooktacular trick-or-treat event. Kids will go door-to-door to local businesses throughout uptown Rockingham to find games, activities, and treats available for their enjoyment.

So that there will be no confusion, all participating businesses will have a balloon outside letting the trick-or-treaters and their parents and guardians know they have all sorts of Halloween surprises inside.

Some of the businesses that have already committed to participating are:

·       Arts Richmond

·       Bold Moves Dance Company

·       Brown’s Termite and Pest Control

·       Creative Hair Designs

·       Discovery Place Kids

·       Headlines Studio

·       Hillside Florist
