DERBY — For more than a decade, the Lambeth family, of Triple L Farms, has been hosting a community Christmas party at the old general store where they sell produce.

The tradition continued Saturday night, with meal followed by entertainment.

The food table featured chopped pork barbecue, chicken and dumplings, country ham — and ham biscuits — and a variety of desserts as guests snaked their way around the tables to fill their plates.

After eating, the small crowd gathered at the back of the store near a cast-iron wood heater as John Webb and Ted Lathan performed several holiday tunes on guitar.

Young Abby Davis, daughter of Craig and Tabitha Davis, joined them at the mic to sing “Rudolph, the Red-nosed Reindeer,” and the pair continued with renditions of Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas,” Alabama’s “Christmas in Dixie” and other songs.

Marcia Lambeth said although the crowd has gotten smaller over the years, they plan to carry on the tradition as long as they can.
