HAMLET — Several railroad crossings in Richmond and Anson counties will be temporarily closed next month.

Southern Commercial Development, LLC, which provides traffic control and detour signage for CSX Transportation, sent a letter dated Sept. 12 announcing the closings which are scheduled for repair.

The crossings at Raleigh Street (between Charlotte and Vance streets) and Hamlet Avenue (between Front and Bridge streets) are expected to be closed Oct. 15.

The following day, crossings are tentatively scheduled to be close on three private roads in Hamlet and one in Rockingham, in addition to those on Beaunit, Biltmore and S. Long drives.
