RALEIGH — The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking public comment on the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Block Grant Plan, which will outline how the federal LIHEAP block grant funds will be spent in North Carolina in federal fiscal year 2024-2025.
LIHEAP provides heating, crisis and weatherization assistance. States are given broad latitude under block grant funding to design and operate their own programs, under certain restrictions.
The plan may be viewed Aug.19-23, 2024, at the following locations:

- On all 100 Counties DSS websites
