ROCKINGHAM — A woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly breaking into several vehicles and a home last week.
According to warrants, Jennifer Lynetta Parker, of Aleo First Avenue in East Rockingham, broke into a home on Aleo Third Avenue sometime between 5 and 6 a.m. on Sept. 4. At the time, the home was occupied by three people.
Parker is also accused of breaking into three vehicles — a 1999 Porsche Boxster, a 2017 Infiniti QX30 and a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro, the latter being listed as belonging to one of the occupants of the home. The other two are reported as belonging to the same person.
She allegedly took two cellphones, $5 in currency, a black hat, the owner’s manual for the Porsche, eyeglasses, an internet router and a glass container with rocks from the vehicles.
Warrants show Parker also broke into a 1979 Camaro, stealing a purple wallet and its contents and a N.C. notary seal.
She was arrested that day with one count of first-degree burglary, four counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle and two counts of misdemeanor larceny. Parker was booked into the Richmond County Jail under a 50,000 secured bond, where she remained Tuesday.
Jail records show Parker also has a $5,000 secured bond for a probation violation.
Records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction show Parker is serving a 12-month suspended sentence following a March 14 conviction of possession of stolen goods. She is also serving a concurrent sentence for a May 17 conviction for school attendance law violation.
Prison records show Parker’s middle name spelled as both “Lynetta” and “Laynette.” She is listed on the jail website as “Jennifer Lynette Parker.”
Online court records show additional pending charges of breaking or entering and larceny after breaking and entering as “Lynetta;” disorderly conduct in a public building as “Lynette;” and possession of stolen firearm and a misdemeanor probation violation as “Laynette.”
Court records also reflect a court date with charges — three misdemeanor probation violations, felony larceny and attempting to obtain property by false pretenses — from the Department of Community Corrections.
Parker has court appearances scheduled for Sept. 19, 23, 26 and 30.
Records show she had assault charges dismissed in May and was convicted of misdemeanor larceny in 2017.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
