CORDOVA – At 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Richmond County Emergency Services dispatched Cordova Fire Rescue to an outdoor fire at 604 Isom Nichols Road in Cordova.
Located just off Sandhill Road, fire units arrived and noticed a double-wide mobile home was near the fire. The department quickly extinguished the flames and there was no damage to the residence.

The origin of the fire had not been determined at the time of this publication, and the N.C. Forestry Service is working to determine the fire’s cause.
