FirstHealth: No injuries, damage from kitchen fire at Rockingham hospital

Crews arrived to call of kitchen fire at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond Tuesday to find it had been put out by hospital staff.

ROCKINGHAM — A call sent the Rockingham Fire Department rushing to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond late Tuesday afternoon to find it was already out.

FirstHealth spokesperson Emily Sloan confirmed that there was a small grease fire in the kitchen but hospital staff members were able to extinguish it before crews arrived.

She added that there were no injuries or damage caused by the fire.

“We appreciate the fire department’s quick response,” she said.
