HAMLET — April is shaping up to be a busy month for the Seaboard City.

TGIF Food Trucks returns April 14 with a selection of delectables.

Four food trucks are scheduled to be behind the Hamlet Depot from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.: Mama Blair’s; Unity BBQ; Wild Sunflower Pizza; and Big D’s Donuts.

There will also be a cruise-in on Main Street from 4-7 p.m., with Kona Ice joining in an hour before.

Organizers decided this year to combine the Boxcar Concert Series with food truck Fridays.

The Safety Committee, a local cover band that performed last season, returns to Main Street Park on April 28 to kick off the series from 6-8 p.m.

Food trucks for that event include Mama Blair’s, Gu-Ma & Yopa’s Kitchen, Alford’s Smoke & Grill and Big D’s Donuts all day and Kona Ice from 3-7 p.m.

Hamlet will also hold its second annual Walk N Wag from 9 a.m.-noon at Main Street Park, collecting donations and supplies for the Richmond County Animal Shelter and Richmond County Operation Fix (formerly Animal Advocates).
