Friday Wreck Causes Few Minor Injuries, Damage to Vehicles

ROCKINGHAM — On Friday, July 14, East Rockingham & Cordova Fire Rescue were both dispatched to a wreck involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer at the entrance of a local truck stop. First Health EMS transported the driver of the pickup to the hospital with minor injuries and there were no injuries to the truck driver. The tractor-trailer had a load of bricks that had been picked up in Wallace, South Carolina, and was en route to Canada. The North Carolina Highway Patrol will be investigating the accident.
