Hamlet Depot hosting blood drive, Food Truck Friday

William R. Toler - Richmond Observer

HAMLET — One local landmark is out for blood just before Halloween.

The Hamlet Depot and Museums is hosting a blood drive Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 1-5:30 p.m. at The Ballroom on Hamlet Ave.

Later in the week, the Depot is also holding another Food Truck Friday on Main with the same vendors that kicked off the event, Seafoodie and Mama Blair’s.

The event runs from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

After setting up the mobile food truck at multiple events and other locations over the past several months, Seafoodie now has a stationary location in Hamlet.

Participants in the Seaboard Festival 5K, which is virtual this year due to COVID-19, can also pick up their race bags at the Depot parking lot from 2-6 p.m. Friday.

For those who would like to run the actual course, it has been marked and will stay that way until Saturday, according to the race’s Facebook page.
