HAMLET – The Hamlet Police Department recently made two arrests in separate incidents.
Cleo Jerome Wall on Monday, September 10, after a domestic disturbance call was made.
Wall is a black male, age 30, who lives on West Hamlet Avenue in Hamlet.
Wall was charged with:
Second degree kidnapping;
Assault with a deadly weapon upon a minor;
Interfering with emergency communication;
Larceny; and
Injury to personal property.
Wall was transported to the Richmond County Jail with a court date scheduled for September 24.
Tejumald Mequan Douglas was arrested on Friday, September 7, after going through a check point on Hylan Avenue in Hamlet.
He was charged with:
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and/or deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance;
Maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for the purpose of manufacturing, selling, and/or delivering a controlled substance (felony);
Possession of marijuana – more than ½ ounce to 1 ½ ounce; and
Possession of a stolen firearm.
Tejumald was released on a written promise but his vehicle was impounded.
His court date is September 27.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
