Hamlet Police seek missing teen girl

UPDATE: Police announced late Monday, Aug. 7 that the girl had been found and returned home.

HAMLET — Police are asking for help locating another young girl.

The Hamlet Police Department posted on its Facebook page late Sunday night that officers were looking for 13-year-old Adrianna Sunshine Matthews.

The teen reportedly left her home around 4:30 a.m. Sunday and was picked up by someone around 20 minutes later.

Matthews is 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs around 160 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes, and has a nose ring, according to HPD.

She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, white shorts and black Crocs.

Police belive she may be in the Moore County area.
