Hamlet Public Library Hosts Indoor Yard Sale October 12-13; Leath Memorial Library Holds Book Sale October 13

Hamlet and Rockingham Libraries Hold Sale for Books and Other Items

HAMLET – This Friday and Saturday, October 12-13, the Friends of the Hamlet Public Library will have an Indoor Yard Sale.

The library is located at 302 Main Street in Hamlet. There will be a wide variety of items available at bargain prices, including kitchen items; clothing for men and women, boys and girls; lots of books; and toys for the children.

The sale will begin at 12 noon on Friday and last until 5:30 PM. On Saturday, the sale will resume at 9:30 a.m. and finish up at 2:00 p.m.

President of the Friends of the Hamlet Public Library Jane McCall says that the proceeds from the indoor yard sale will go towards programs for the library.

Librarian Belinda Norton of the Hamlet Public Library continues her weekly Story Time on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. and invites all to come in for an entertaining time to enjoy some great children’s books.

A new service is available at the Hamlet Public Library which will be well-received. A phone-charging station has been set up near the computer area which allows the patrons to charge their phone while being in in the library. The library is also undergoing some new upgrades which will improve the technology services available there.

Also, on Saturday, October 13, the Thomas H. Leath Memorial Library will be holding a book sale from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. It is located in Rockingham at 412 East Franklin Street.

The sale is sponsored by Friends of the Leath Memorial Library.

They have a large selection of books available for sale in excellent condition. The paperback books will sell for 25 cents, and the hardback books will sell for $1.00.

So all you bargain hunters out there, make sure to keep the Hamlet Public Library and the Leath Memorial Library in mind on Friday and Saturday. You will be helping out the community by purchasing items at great prices!
