ROCKINGHAM — To celebrate the start of its second 50 years of operation and in anticipation of the upcoming Epicenter Festival, Rockingham Dragway has completed one more phase of a comprehensive upgrade to its infrastructure.

Rockingham-based Hudson Paving, Inc. completely resurfaced the one-eighth mile, two-lane stretch of roadway leading from U.S. 1 to the track offices to provide greater ease of access during the May 10-12 festival and beyond.

In anticipation of the arrival of more than 100,000 rock music fans, track owner Steve Earwood already had installed new fencing, upgraded signs and put new roofs on restroom and concessions buildings throughout the complex.

“Thanks to  Hudson Paving for working with us on this project,” Earwood said.  “Anything having to do with roads and driveways, Hudson Paving is my go-to place. Grading, resurfacing, asphalt and concrete paving, seal-coating. Thankfully, they do it all and they do it well.
