Investigators ask for help identifying suspect in Richmond County robberies

Investigators with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office and Rockingham Police Department are asking for help identifying this man, who they say is responsible for holding up four stores across the county.

ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and Rockingham Police Department are asking for help identifying a robbery suspect.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, the suspect is responsible for four robberies within the past week at stores in the Cordova and Hoffman areas and one in the Rockingham city limits.

Investigators say the suspect has displayed a long gun in the robberies.

The suspect is believed to be a black male between 18 and 25 years old;  5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall; and weigh 165-180 pounds.

The sheriff’s office and Richmond County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
