Law enforcement job fair coming to Cole Auditorium

Law enforcement statewide will be stepping up patrols to stop impaired drivers the week of St. Patrick's Day.

HAMLET — Are you or someone you know seeking a career in law enforcement? If so, don’t miss this event.

The Richmond County Department of Social Services and Richmond Community College are partnering with Southern Correctional Institution to host a job fair to provide information and fill positions in law enforcement. Representatives from Southern Correctional Institution and Richmond Correctional Institution will be present to discuss employment opportunities and hire correctional officers and other positions for the prisons.

Most careers in the law enforcement field offer a lucrative salary, health and life insurance, and retirement benefits.

Law enforcement employment opportunities are available with the Hamlet Police Department, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and Rockingham Police Department.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety has a variety of positions available in the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Divisions, such as court counselors, transportation officers and more.

Representatives from all these agencies and more will be present to discuss the hiring process and take applications. Interested persons are encouraged to bring resumes.

The job fair will be held at the Cole Auditorium, 1042 Hamlet Ave. in Hamlet on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
