Man charged after allegedly selling crack at Rockingham library

ROCKINGHAM — A man was arrested on nearly 20 drug charges earlier this week after allegedly selling crack cocaine in the parking lot of a local library.

According to a press release issued Thursday, 47-year-old Rodney Edward Wall, of McInnis Road, Rockingham, was arrested after making a delivery of suspected crack cocaine to undercover deputies at Leath Memorial Library on Monday.

Investigators say they had made four previous purchases of different amounts of crack from Wall in undercover buys.

Wall is charged with five counts each of possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance; four counts each of selling a Schedule II controlled substance and delivering a Schedule II controlled substance; and one count of felony possession of cocaine.

He is scheduled to appear in court March 12 on all charges.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
