Man Charged with First Degree Arson, Five Counts of Attempted Murder

ROCKINGHAM – A Rockingham man was arrested late last week for attempting to set a house on fire during the night with five people inside.

Timothy Allen Braddock, 42, was arrested by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department and charged with first degree arson, five counts of attempted murder, probation violation, and various other charges. While the damage to the home was valued at approximately $600, there were no injuries and everyone inside was found safe.

Braddock was placed in the Richmond County Jail on $300,000 secured bond.
