NC FIRST Commission to hold public meeting Friday

RALEIGH — The NC FIRST Commission, whose focus is to evaluate the state’s current and future transportation investment needs and strategies, will hold its second public meeting Friday.

The Commission will meet at the Highway Building at 1 S. Wilmington St. in Raleigh from 9 a.m. to noon.

The meeting will be available to stream live at ncdot.gov/ncfirst.

The Commission was formed by North Carolina Transportation Secretary Jim Trogdon in March.

It researches trends and considers the impact new technologies and changing demographics will have on the state’s current transportation network and investment model.
