NCRGEA hosting online candidates forum

RALEIGH — The North Carolina Retired Governmental Employees’ Association is hosting a series of forums in the first week of October, with the candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and state treasurer discussing a broad range of topics of interest to the people of North Carolina, and with a particular interest in issues relevant to government professionals and retirees.

The forums are free and open to the public. We only ask that you register ahead of time, at https://ncrgea.com/candidates-forum.

Two of the forums will be held on Thursday, Oct. 1. At 11 a.m., Republican gubernatorial candidate and current Lt. Governor Dan Forest will start things off and answer questions from moderators and from citizens for 30 minutes. At 11:30, incumbent Gov. Roy Cooper will take the stage and have a 30-minute Q-and-A session of his own.
