ROCKINGHAM – The Pee Dee Pregnancy Resource Center (PDPRC) operates under the mantra of “cultivating value, one life at a time.”
On Thursday, Nov. 2, the PDPRC will host its annual fundraising banquet at The Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy, located at 139 Flowers Street. Tickets for the 6 p.m. event are $10 per individual, or $15 per couple. Those interested may call or go by PDPRC to purchase tickets to reserve a seat.
PDPRC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, requires sustainable funds.
“There will be an opportunity at the fundraiser for guests to make a financial gift to the organization,” said client services manager Amber Smith.
PDPRC plans to move to a new building, and has plans to purchase an ultrasound machine.
“This will give the clients the ability to see their developing baby,” Smith added.
Once presented at the event, tickets will be entered in prize drawings. Jennifer Rhyne will be speaking at the event, and songs will be performed by Arthur Gilliam and Kristin Meece.
“Our mission is to help women, men, and families in unplanned pregnancies,” Smith said. “Our vision is cultivating value, one life at a time.”
Smith also said the PDPRC continues to need volunteers. If an individual or group is interested in volunteering they would need to fill out a volunteer application, which can be found online at www.pregnantwhatnow.org. Volunteering may include stocking the baby boutique, separating diapers, working with clients, or washing baby clothes.
