ROCKINGHAM — Vendors lined the downtown streets Thursday evening for the October installment of Affair on the Square.
Several stores remained open past their normal 5 p.m. closing time to offer deals to those strolling down the sidewalks. Kool Kakes Bakery even brought back its Kids Market, with young entrepreneurs selling their wares.

Street vendors offered a variety of items including handmade soaps, candles, crafts and artwork.
While there are usually multiple things set up around Harrington Square (hence the name of the twice-annual event), renovation of the old bank building moved some of the action down to the old Food King parking lot.
The RO will have more on the renovations in a later story.
Jonathan Robinson performed in the lot while the Green Pond Band played in front of Discovery Place Kids. A little farther down, DJ Eric Whitfield provided music as the crowds walked by.
The event is organized by the Rockingham Downtown Corporation.
