ROCKINGHAM — Following Saturday’s service at Richmond County Veterans Memorial Park, the action moved downtown for the annual Veterans Day parade.
The event, organized by VFW Post 4203 Auxiliary, kicked off with a parachute demonstration by the All Veteran Group Jump Team based out of Raeford.
The parade featured a variety of entries including first responders, politicians, the Richmond Senior High School Army JROTC Raider Battalion and marching band, and local veteran and community organizations.
Singer Nikki Fletcher performed the national anthem prior to the parade and joined her band mates in the Safety Committee for a show in the old Food King Parking lot afterward.
