ROCKINGHAM — The cause behind a couple of cars catching fire late Tuesday night is still under investigation.

The Rockingham Fire Department sent three trucks down U.S. 1 to the woods behind Rockingham Towing and No. 1 Diner just after 11 p.m.

Investigators with the Rockingham Police Department say the fire started in one car at the back of the lot and spread to another.
