Police Report: Local Woman Arrested for Credit Card Theft

On August 15, 2017, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joni Kristen McDonald, 27 of McBrothers Drive in Rockingham on several charges.

Included were four counts of obtaining property based on false pretenses, four counts of larceny, four counts of forgery of instruments and four counts of uttering forged instruments.

McDonald was also charged with one count of Financial card theft.

After an investigation, the RCSO determined that McDonald was using the victim’s checks and debit card. McDonald spent approximately $660.

McDonald was arrested and placed in Richmond County Jail under a $10,000 secure bond.
