Police searching for missing Hamlet Middle student

HAMLET — Police are searching for a middle school student who hasn’t been seen since mid-afternoon on Thursday.

According to officers with the Hamlet Police Department, 13-year-old Phillip Kenyadra Lytch Jr. was reported missing at 4:47 p.m.

His mother reportedly told officers that she last saw him when he got on the bus Thursday morning.

Officers say he was last seen possibly around Fairview Heights Elementary after leaving Hamlet Middle School.

Lytch was wearing a gray sweatshirt and brown slacks, but police say he may have had a change of clothes which included ripped black jeans.

Police say he is around 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs around 160-170 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair and a fade haircut.
