HAMLET — Police are looking for a man suspected in a felony larceny case.
The Hamlet Police Department on Wednesday posted to its Facebook page a photo of 23-year-old Brandon Alexander Muldrow, saying he is wanted on an outstanding warrant.
As of early Thursday evening, he had not yet been apprehended.
Investigators say Muldrow has a long criminal history.
According to records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction, Muldrow should still be on probation from a February 2019 conviction on three felony charges: breaking and entering vehicles, breaking and entering, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
He was given an 18-month suspended sentence in that case, records show.
He was first convicted in 2014 of three counts of breaking and entering vehicles and one count of attempted felony larceny, records show.
Muldrow’s probation on those convictions was revoked and he served seven months for the larceny, followed by another seven months for the vehicle break-ins, with two and half months of freedom in between, according to state records.
Just 11 days after his release, Muldrow was convicted in 2015 of misdemeanor breaking and entering and spent the first nine and half months of 2016 behind bars on a post-release revocation.
Anyone with information on Muldrow is encouraged to contact Capt. Randy Dover of the Hamlet Police Department at 910-582-2551 or Richmond County Crime Stoppers at 910-997-5454.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
