HAMLET — Police are still trying to locate one of two men accused of a home break-in last month.

Investigators with the Hamlet Police Department say 31-year-old James Dwight “Trey” Russell III and Alston Blake Croke broke into a Hyland Avenue home on Dec. 15, 2019 and stole two televisions, an Xbox gaming system and a set of gaming headphones.

The pair also damaged a window during the break-in, according to investigators.

Croke was arrested by HPD officers on Dec. 27 and charged with one felony count each of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering and one misdemeanor court of injury to real property.

He was booked into the Richmond County Jail but has since been released on bail. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 6.

Police have obtained warrants for Russell on the same charges.
