PUBLIC NOTICE: Approval sought for new ambulatory surgical facility in Moore County

ALBEMARLE — Southern Pines Surgery Center Properties LLC, Southern Pines Surgery Center LLC and Pinehurst Surgical Clinic Realty LLC have filed a certificate of need application with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to develop an ambulatory surgical facility — Southern Pines Surgery Center — to be located in Southern Pines, N.C. The new facility will have two operating rooms to be relocated from Surgery Center of Pinehurst and two procedure rooms.

The project is expected to cost $27.8 million and would be completed in January 2026.

A public hearing for this project will be held June 13 at 10 a.m. on the second floor of the Old Historic Courthouse, 1 Courthouse Square, in Carthage, N.C.

Anyone may file written comments concerning this proposal. Comments must be received by the Healthcare Planning and Certificate of Need Section no later than 5 p.m. on May 31.
