According to a press release issued Friday morning, deputies and EMS personnel responded to an area of the tracks between 9th Ave. Aleo and South Street after a call about a baby near the tracks was made to the Emergency Communications Center.

When first responders arrived, they found a newborn boy deceased.

Investigators say the scene was processed and the body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to “help identify and determine anything we can about the baby.”
