HAMLET — It’s nearing time for an annual fall tradition and the Richmond County Agricultural Fair is seeking submissions for exhibits

The annual fair, which serves as a fundraiser for the Hamlet Lions Club, is scheduled for Sept. 12-15.

For the barn, the fair is accepting entries of beef and dairy cattle, goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, ducks, guineas, geese, pigeons, doves, pheasants, peacocks and quail. No swine are being accepted “due to public health concerns.”

Tractor Supply is providing the bedding and feed for the animals in the barn while on display.
