RICHMOND COUNTY – The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its recent hire of Melanie Dewitt, who will join the Chamber as the new Director of Operations.
Dewitt, of Ellerbe, brings a strong background in accounting to the Chamber.
“Melanie is a native of Richmond County and brings years of accounting knowledge to our organization,” said Emily Tucker, President of the Chamber. “With the growth of the Chamber, comes new demands. We are excited to grow our team.”
Dewitt will make the third full-time employee for the Chamber of Commerce. Within this role, Dewitt will handle all aspects of the Chamber’s finances, as well as the day-to-day office operations.
“I was attracted to the organization because of their commitment to Richmond County businesses,” said Dewitt. “I am excited to jump in and get to work.”
