Richmond County DSS offering foster parent training

ROCKINGHAM — April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

The Richmond County Department of Social Services recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect. Prevention services and supports developed by this collaboration can help to protect children and strengthen families.

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Richmond County Department of Social Services will be conducting foster parent training beginning March 30 at 6 p.m. at the Human Services Complex.

UPDATE: Training has been postponed to begin April 20 to give those interested more time to contact DSS.
